I got er working, found it in a old Centracom manual.

I got a UHF HT1550 that has the muffled audio on the internal mic, but sounds fine with a speaker-mic attached to it.

Been to the Depot twice, internal mic audio still sucks.

Since the depot cannot seem to figure it out, I had to not recommend them to customers.

Hrm, You mentioned "screen" I take it's a CRT based console then. Either the DOS based Centracom or the Gold Elete thinggy. Alot of CRT monitors dont seem to care for the Cell phone/Nexthell devices. Go with the CDM. Every Kenwood Commercial mobile I have worked with had "bassy"TX audio. They should carry over the TX audio from the ham rigs. You cant beat Motorola's priority scan. Ah I see the problem, You need a Orbacom....ha ha ha just kidding I am not a Centracom expert, but it'd be worth it to hang a test tone remote out of the CEB and see if you hear the fuzzy audio there. That would at least clearly define where it's being generated...from the console or the wireline/rf...

Zetron makes a unit. We used them for a AED cabinet alarm using magnetic switched. The Zetron was hooked to a SM50, played a pre recorded message over the 800 Conv repeater so all the security guards new a AED was in use, or being tampered with.

Na, they had Ericsson portables, also running them in super movie full duplex. There is one shot where I think you can see the name on the radio. Ericsson also made the cellphone/remotecontrol/stun gun/can opener/nose picker.
