Re: Motorola R26xx secret menu access?
OK I remembered it, you press SPF, select system functions and then press F1 and it takes you to the test menu. It only works if you have GD 6.X firmware. BTW when you exit this menu it will reset your monitor to factory default settings.

Motorola R26xx secret menu access?
In the past I found a way to access an extra diagnostic menu on the later model R26XX series monitors. I didn't write it down and now I can't remember how to do it. It gives several pages of extra information and test screens.
Anybody here the info on how to do it?

Re: R2600B tracking generator fall off?
Thanks for the info, looking over the manual it does look like a PITA. Without extender boards it looks like I will have to live with it. This unit is my home hobby unit, if I need something more accurate I guess I will have to borrow my 3920B from work.

R2600B tracking generator fall off?
I have a R2600B that drops about 10 db on the high side at 5 MHz width when using the tracking generator. I used a short BNC to BNC to tie the GEN port to the ANT port to rule out any cable loss. It doesn't matter what freq I use. It's always down about 10 db. I suspect some type of alignment issue....

HP 8921A question.
My Motorola R2001D bit the dust during hurricane Michael and was thinking of replacing it with a HP8921A. I was concerned about the 30khz bandwidth vs 15khz of the HP 8920A. Any thoughts on this subject?

Option 645 for Aeroflex 3920????
I was attempting to do an auto alignment on a APX radio and received the message that I need option 645 to align this radio. Is this a stand alone option or will I need any other option in addition to option 645? It is listed on MOL in the test equipment area as a option that can be ordered, but no ...

R2600 Extender boards??
Has anyone tired to build up some extender boards for the R2600? Years ago you could buy project boards with .1 inch spacing edge connectors pretty easy. I thought I would try to find something similar and add a female socket so I could get to some of the circuitry on the boards for troubleshooting....

Thanks for the update on the manual. I have the Ebay one on the way, it should be here in few days. Looks like you may have analog only radios, the DSP must start with a I or a N to be digital. Also DSP firmware must be greater than a 6 to be IMBE. At least one radio is is not digital radio for sure, the other might be digital, but it will be a VSLEP. Without the DSP version you can't tell easily....

The way I understand it, what you need to do is read the existing model one radios and get ALL the alignment settings and jot them down.
