Antenna Stuffs

A good network analyzer is great for measuring VSWR ect.

But ya know what you really also need is a good signal generator some amps and a good spectrum analyzer and a couple of isotropic standards.

Then you can measure gain and plot it vs. antenna bearing. Make your own lobe plots.

That is correct it is MLM revs. Software version is stored on the 28C64 EEPROM on the MLM. Its a 3 digit ASCII string. My bitbang spreadsheet has the bitbanger location to change it. I have this @road GPS reciever..... It is supposed to hook up to the internet for fleet tracking. Looks like it has standard serial output and hooks into a small MDT terminal that came with it. I was thinking of terminating the internet antenna and using it for APRS.

Buy some freezespray and start icing over parts after its warmed up. Then press a key and see if its non responsive. Quickest way to find temp problems.

Might be the oscillator for the microcontroller clock. That would do it.

That is add odd concoction.

Power for a P110 and other HTs that require you to remove the bat use a 9V battery.

Most other radios dont require anything so long as they have power and the RIB has power.

Any "Motorola" encryption for any of those radios is gonna send them out to get a loan. :-? Look at spectra for example. If you buy new parts from Moto for really any encryption type it will run about $800 - $1.2k per radio. Ouch. Motorola cost I would estimate about $60 - $80 at the most ...

Could you send me that 250 Mode codeplug? I would like to take a look at it.

I believe the codeplug EEPROM is big enough to hold more modes than 128. I am curious to find out why this one has 250 Modes. If it hasn't been upgraded to a Spectra-E it would be interesting to see why this has 250 modes.

001 is Synth out of lock.

Look for caps that are leaking crap out on the RF board.

It has the C source in the zip complete even with comments. But no its definitely not "open source".
