Re: What Kind Of Antenna Is This

I'll confirm that is in fact a dual band 800/PCS cell antenna. I had on on my car for my Motorola V600 car kit. Yep, remember the days when you actually had a "real" RF connection to you cell phone? Now everything is passive which works like crap.

I don't like it either. I preferred the old paper system but since I have a Radio Repair Bank with my employer I'm forced to initiate a service request in order to get the FedEx shipping label. Re: Jedi MUC NTN1177 4 revisions ?

If I'm thinking straight, maybe the original A and B models have what I would call smaller cup sizes as to only accomodate jedi series versus the later models that could hold a complete XTS series with battery. My PD has a few 1177 style gang chargers some of which date back to 1996 for the Jedi mod...

FSB10076D (Good until 12/31/2012) only covers the XTS 2500, 2250, 1500, and the MT 1500 Platform A radios (AKA "AN").

No XTS5000's covered under this FSB.

One other option to throw out is Click2Enter. It's a pretty popular item here in SoCal for opening gates and other items. That PTT switch seems to be a weak point as most of my XTS2500's that went to depot had that issue. Well you can put that antenna on the radio all day long but it isn't going to help. The XTS series does not have GPS hardware on board, hence the external mic with GPS built in for location based tracking.
