looked and can not fine anything to enable or disable. I have an XPR3500 with a simplex secure channel and it will sound a short tone on RX. My other model radios do not do this on RX. I was guessing it had to be secure setting since it does not do it on any of the other simplex channels. please tel...

ok might be a silly question, I have the NNTN4437B on my radio. It seems a lil heavy. I am wondering if there is a lighter option that is out there. I know the whole OEM vs Aftermarket conundrum, I do side with OEM. I am just looking to get something that might hold a charge a bit longer then this u...

Yes, I got SIX miles between my house, and the town I live by SIMPLEX. The place I was in town was a higher place in town, and our house is roughly at the same elevation, with a lower region in between. It's all either farmland or woodlands between the two, but definitely not just free open space. ...

I was working with and XTL 2500 that was losing its audio, and would not be able to transmit. I moved this radio from one vehicle to another, using same wiring points. I checked voltage and had 12v or more at radio head and 12v at drawer in the trunk. It would get worse when the vehicle was not runn...

Extenders have not gone to 700MHz statewide and there is a chance they won't be, they work like crap. The pilot is failing miserably. I understand Johnson had a recall on the entire fleet of radios sold to the state. And as CHP found out the hard way, low band is not anywhere near dead. Missouri Hi...

it is listed as an option on the VX-800 on the vertex site but the only down side I can see is that vertex uses two radios to cover the entire band split where as mother M uses one and yes that is VHF. I would really like one if it had a wider band to it.
