XPR 6580 onto 900 mhz ham band

Hello,

Does anyone out there have any experience getting the portable XPR 6580 onto the ham bands? I'm probably just going to be doing analog, but might do DMR too in the future.

Any help is appreciated. I do have normal CPS, but won't allow direct programming to those frequencies.

thx,
josh

900 Mhz range extender for XPR4500 (ham bands)

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way to make a simplex range extender for my XPR 4500 being using on DMR and analog. When I'm at work I can't hit any repeaters from inside the building but the car, parked 50 ft away, does fine. I'd like to cross-band from my XPR4500 to a 900 mhz radio, then use a 900...

APX 7000 CPS requires a newer version of the software?

I have an APX 7000 that was most recently programmed with R08.00.00, I'm trying to read it with R08.00.01, but it says I need version R08.01.01. Why would it require an even newer version that what I have? I can tell you that I have the version B USB programming cable and that I'm using Windows 7. I...

Programming cable for APX 7000 - which one?

Hi,

I see there are two cables that are supposed to work for programming the APX 7000. There is a Rev A and Rev B. How do I know which one to use? These are expensive cables and I don't want to buy the wrong one.

Thanks,
josh

Re: can't get XTS2500 out of talkaround

I understand what you are saying, but the radio is programmed just like my Yaesu radio on ham radio repeaters with different input and output frequencies.

Re: can't get XTS2500 out of talkaround

Do you know if I can program a 4 meg radio with the latest version of CPS? Does it require some type of flash upgrade to work with the newest CPS? This radio was most recently programmed with 9.00.02 and I have access to CPS 18.xx.xx.

Hi, The error I'm getting is: "the model number of the radio does not match the model number to be programmed" I can't download the codeplug from the radio because it says that my version of RSS is not new enough. So, I can't read from the radio and I can't clone to the radio. I assume if ...

MTX 9000 mod II codeplug wanted

Hi,
I am not asking for RSS, but I am looking for an older codeplug for a MTX9000 Mod II. I'm using RSS version 6.00.00. When I try to read the radio I get the error codeplug too new.

Any help is appreciated,

MTX9000 programming cable question

Hi, Is the MTX9000 ribless programming cable the same as the XTS2500 ribless programming cable? I've got a cable that I know worked with my XTS2500 using CPS under windows, but won't work with my MTX9000 using RSS on DOS. I thought the same cable would work for both radios. I'm not sure if my commun...
