Check in Display & Menu and on the General tab.
There should be a Channel Text Size. That should allow you to change the Tag and allow you to add the channel number.
As for the MIC goto Controls and then KeyPad Mic and see if they are programmed.

I had this issue on my HT1250. I used a Moto Ribless cable and wrote a last working codeplug for that radio.

Thanks I kinda figured he has a RIBLESS cable. I do have a RIB Cable. The Rib I have is an aftermarket and would not work. So I decided to get an OEM Rib.

I was told by someone I trust with programming that I do not need a rib to program a MCS2000. I would believe that is a RIBLESS cable.

Do a search. This is a common error. Try to write it from a CLEAN Codeplug.

Does anyone know where I can get a spot on a 800 mhz maxtrac to put a discrim tap. I'd rather blow up a $35 radio over a $500 scanner.
This MaxTrac is a 16 pin version so if I can pull it from one of them it's better as I do have some space connectors.

Program it with a Codeplug that you had from before it cause it to give you the CS Error. I programmed mine with a Moto Ribless and worked find ever since. I have the same problem where it will not even find a COM port. I checked the BIOS made sure it was set there.
I am gonna be sure there needs to be a setting at the dos prompt or some driver from IBM.
