I solved it. I need to have the pin-8 set properly and also pin-3 on the CDM. The maxtrac was correct

XPR4350 pair with a RICK
I am going to pair up a set of XPR4350 UHF radios for a small portable repeater. I am familiar with setting up a RICK with maxtracs, but have never done a setup with mototrbo. Anyone have a cheat sheet set of instructions for the pin setup? and for the RICK as well.

I have a CDM1550 VHF (non-LS) AAM25KKF9AA5AN. It is recently acquired. It reads and writes fine, transmits and receives fine. The problem is when I plug it in the heat sink gets hot, even when not transmitting. Any ideas?

I did that and was fine for awhile (20 minutes) then randomly came back on. I ran the CAL again and seems to be holding. I thought maybe it was doing that due to me replacing the processor battery, but am just not sure. I cannot locate any info on the recalibrate warning.

I finally got around to replacing the diode. It was visually bad with a burn spot on it. I replaced it and the receive got a lot better, but still not great. It went from 10.0 to 3.0 uv. How can I test the RF amp?? Any other direction I should go??
