Hello all.
Just bought some used XTS1500's UHF. Was under the impression that they all came with channel announcement now. Obviously these didnt.. THey are updated with the latest firmware. It's greyed out on the screen. Any ideas??

Ok, trying to get this set up today. I made the cable, but have a question:
The setup I have is a UHF repeater with PL (186.2), and a Low band CDM which is CSQ.
Pin 8 settings: On the repeater side, PL & CSQ detect, while on the CDM set to CSQ detect>
Does this sound right???

Any channel programmed to DPL is always open - seems to be csq on receive no matter what.

CDM1250 remote mics
Hello all
I am adding two remote mics (one each) to two base station radios.
Can I use ONE piece of shielded wire for the two separate radios?? ie: 22/6 shielded.
I know I need mic hi, PTT and ground from each radio.
They are both from the same power source.

Hello. I know the software can be downloaded from Motorola for free. The programming cable goes between the charger and the PC. It seems to be a standard USB cable. Does anyone know if I can use a standard USB cable or if there is something special and i must buy a cable from Motorola. Thanks!

I think jack hit it on the head. I'm pretty sure it is the computers. I pulled all the fuses one at a time and lost over 210ma of draw from 2 of the computers.

Sucess! I found out the hard way that the RICKS will only allow it to use this setup with GM300's. it wont work with maxtracs or CDM1250's.....No clue why though...

I always use marine deep cycle lead acid batteries. I have found them to last the best. We very rarely have a power failure issue and do have a generator but I like to be prepared anyway.

I agree that they are recieving correctly. I think most of the problem is that they are recieving signals from great distances, much further then what we need or want, but since our county doesnt use PL on these channels, we have no way of limiting what the reciever picks up....

I have this same setup using GM300's. I wired one mic through the back accessory connector. pin 7 ground, pin 2 mic audio, pin 3 mic PTT. Wire both radios's accessory connectors the same way and tie them together. Works well for me!
