I'd like to conclude this thread with an apology for my dishonesty and gratitude for making me realize the severity of punishment that could of been as a result of my actions. No, I'm interested in this type of stuff so he gave me the essentials (Control Channels, System Key, and the Unique ID for the radio) but I can't figure out why it keeps saying out of range whenever I put it in. I have SmartZone working perfectly fine, then SmartNet is just a fail.

Using it as a scanner, BUT I am a fire academy student and have permission from the system owner to monitor while logged in, and reason being is because my radio is also being used when I go on shift (ride-alongs).
