Motorola never had a service manual for the R2400 series. What they provided was the R2200 service manual with addendums for the module differences between the R2200 & R2400. Also the service manual on repeater-builder is for the R2200A.

Is that .800 KHz error across the entire spectrum or does the error change by frequency band (Low band, high band, UHF, 800 MHz)? If it changes by band, the master oscillator could be off slightly. As for the fluctuations, you might be overdriving the receiver. Try adding some attenuation.

You also might want to be sure that the three ribbon connectors are connected properly. Also your problem MIGHT be on the HVPS, there is a circuit that acts as a closed loop in the two supplies that, if bad, can cause your symptom.

Try re-setting the NVM using special function 99. To do this, press Both cursor arrows on the keypad at the same time, then the #9 twice.

If by the Dev measurement you mean in receive mode, look at the rcvr alignment, if you mean generate mode that would be the rf synth or possibly the scope/DVM control board.

Per the R2001A maintainence manual, the filament is 6.3 VAC. As the same tube was used in all models, it should be the same for all.

Check the transistors that the heat sinks are mounted to. These are your final deflection amps for vertical and horizontal deflection.

I don't know anymore. Last I knew is that you had to go through Motorola just as you would for a radio. CTDI only works on the R2600 series now and most of the techs are gone. Last I heard, only two of the original Motorola techs were still there.
