Re: R2001A started blowing 1.5A AC line fuse
Hello Jim, I may be the bearer of bad news but IIRC most of the time when the 1.5A fuse blows, it is usually the line input filter or the power transformer. Also, make sure the center contact of the line connector is grounded to the chassis.

First, the oscillator module contains its own 9 volt supply to the oscillator. As soon as the unit is connected to a power source, voltage is applied to the oscillator. Second, your problems seem to be intermittent. If so, I suspect that the connectors from the front panel flex circuits to the mothe...

Try changing the spec. anal. display to 100Mhz/div. It's been a very long time since I've seen a 2660 but I seem to recall that it had an "extended" capability on the spectrum analyzer. When in that "extended" setting, the processor would slow down tremendously.

Is that .800 KHz error across the entire spectrum or does the error change by frequency band (Low band, high band, UHF, 800 MHz)? If it changes by band, the master oscillator could be off slightly. As for the fluctuations, you might be overdriving the receiver. Try adding some attenuation.
