Requirements to do AES + ADP in an APX8000 w/ KVL4000?
Trying to get both ADP and AES to work in an APX8000. The 8k has hardware encryption for AES and works fine. If I toggle the radio back to software encryption the ADP works fine. What options and in which hardware do I need in order to do ADP when hardware encryption is active? The KVL4000 currently...

Source for custom radio ID stickers?
Anyone able to recommend an outfit to print radio ID stickers for APX, of the same quality as the original "Motorola" sticker?

Legacy DS-1994L iButtons
We're trying to get our hands on some more of the old DS-1994L iButtons to make ASKs for our legacy radio fleet but they're not available from Motorola anymore (it's a different model button for newer XTS/APX etc. and we need MTS/MCS era). Does anyone have some NIB to sell to a reputable local level...

Re: Gold Elite / MCC Emer Alarm audio
Just FYI, the emergency receive cadence OP is looking for is not part of the 15 default alert tones. I believe it's generated from the VPM, so it'd have to be a recording off the speaker jack or similar. If no one has it I'll see about getting one recorded from our system and post a link to it, if ...

Re: Gold Elite / MCC Emer Alarm audio
Here are all 15 default alert tones for the MCC 7500. The d/l link is good for 7 days. (Zipped folder - 15 wav files) https://we.tl/4cciBzJUlM Drat! I missed the link before it expired. I these are the files located in the user\Motorola\MCC7500 folder, I have them. I didn't think the emergency alar...

Re: MCC7500 'turtle' jacks dying, revived by reconnecting headset
So, 7.17.17 didn't resolve the issue... Log pulling and rechecking the basics shall continue.
There's apparently a tech bulletin on this issue but it was supposed to have been resolved by 7.17.

Re: MCC7500 'turtle' jacks dying, revived by reconnecting headset
Dispatchers would see that their selected resource was active but they couldn't hear the field unit. I like the idea of a hardware VU, though. So we upgraded half the consoles to 7.17.17 per SSC and it seems to have resolved a lot of issues, including the vanishing audio. The emer alarm is ear split...

MCC7500 'turtle' jacks dying, revived by reconnecting headset
Anyone else experiencing this? Recently turn-key installed ASTRO 7.16 system with MCC7500 consoles. Dual jacks. One side has DB15 extension cable. Dispatchers say they'll lose all audio, or sometimes just ear or just mic, and be unable to communicate with units. Unplugging and reconnecting the Plant...

Re: APX Bluetooth w/ Cellular Headsets
The PLT Edge headset is configurable via an app. Turning on Streaming ability in the headset allowed it to connect to the APX.

APX Bluetooth w/ Cellular Headsets
Is there a way to determine which consumer devices the radio will pair to? I've been able to pair it with a Plantronics PLT E500 (works great!) but a newer more advanced model PLT Edge won't work.

Another follow up...
XTS2500 works on my own laptop. The X close button in the top right of any child window inside CPS is missing, but the "Close" button in the bottom left is there.
I was NOT able to read/write an XTS5000. I got the same error that started the thread.

Re: Windows 10 & ASTRO 25 CPS
Some of my users are now saying they are able to run ASTRO 25 CPS in Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) without any changes, CPS updates or otherwise any effort at all - it simply started working. I'm assuming a Windows 10 background mystery update resolved it.

Re: Windows 10 & ASTRO 25 CPS
Thank you again to everyone who responded. A Win7 VM was ultimately what worked for me and it worked really well. I used Oracle VirtualBox and it worked the first time. If any of you are also running Aviat Eclipse gear, the VM works for their Provision software too. Aviat Portal runs fine on Windows...

Re: Windows 10 & ASTRO 25 CPS
Thanks for the response. It was previously installed on Win7 Pro x64. The OS was upgraded using the in-place installer downloaded from MS. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the CPS, no luck. The installer did complain about there not being a supported version of .NET on the PC, which seemed odd....

Windows 10 & ASTRO 25 CPS
Anyone tried it?
Our first laptop upgraded to Windows 10 from 7 isn't able to open a port with any ASTRO 25 radios via USB cable.
Open Radio Failed
Error Context: 24, Status: c0000344
I'm hoping there's a fix, but I'd also accept my being the only one having this issue.

Re: CDM1250 Firmware Upgrade
Jack is right, the rear connector is significantly more reliable.
If you have remote kits on the CDMs then just forget the mic jack even exists and ALWAYS program AND flash via the rear connector on the radio itself.

Re: CDM 1250 won't power on
Is this a remote head? If so, I recommend never programming them through the control head since that is how I ended up with dead CDM's years ago. I bought the rear connector programming cable and never again had a failed unit. Regardless of the above, I also saw lots of control head and remote adapt...

Re: Zetron 4010 question
I'm pretty sure that, as of last year anyway, the 4010 is still in production. Call Zetron sales and provide them the serial number. They should be able to tell if it's really a 4010, which is a standalone console, or if it's the button/LED position (4011?) for the Series 4000 which uses backroom eq...

2014 Toyota 4Runner
I need to install two XTL radios, remote mount 05/M5 heads, in a 2014 Toyota 4Runner. Has anyone done this in a same or similar model year? I'm mainly looking for some creative inspiration on where to mount the heads. Obstructing cup holds won't be acceptable... A center console change out would be ...
