MDC1200 System failing?
Hey there, I have a current system which we are transferring to a new frequency and new repeater, on the old repeater the MDC comes over displaying the unit ID's, but the new repeater does not show the ID for everyone, is this a timing issue? If so is it on the repeater or the radio? How can this be...

although unlikely it could be that the TX frequency got altered for some reason, that would be the first place to check.

the mic on the earbuds will not pick up since the 3.5 doesn't read fully into the speaker mic, but I know my HT1250 mic has a built in 3.5 jack that works very well (for rx only)

the cps password is a password set on the radio, you may need to do a hex editor on the radio to remove the password, check out this thread

Re: Bricked HT1000?
are you writing to the radio, with CP's this problem is common when you have a radio that you use for a template and write to multiple radios there is a clone feature in the CPS for CP radios, in your case you may want to read the codeplug first or you may need to use the homebaked WARIS RADIO EDITO...

try writing a factory plug from the cps sample files you may be able to format it back to factory (I have done this with HT1250's and EX600's and CDM1250's)

Re: HT-1250 HK25KDF9AA5AN/Rib-less USB/CPS Issues
if I remember correctly, the CPS Pro Series doesn't take into account the serial number of the receiving radio, as long as its the same model you will be fine, software for the CP200 will make you clone the radio instead of writing direct.

XPR8400 Repeater Stuck in Disabled Mode
I programmed it but do not understand why the disabled light keeps blinking...
The blinking Red LED "Disabled" means:
Blinking RED= Repeater in self-test mode.

Re: CPS Software and Windows 7 64-bit
I would check your com-port settings to see what port you are using, you can also switch the com port if needed, this sounds dumb, but have you restarted you machine since installing CPS, this would cause the software not to be able to read the radio, a simple reboot would fix that. also try using a...

you should be able to do this through pins, I do not know what pin is horn/siren but you can probably tie it in through there and specify in the CPS Programming what button will activate it, you can also specify long press short press in the CPS

try to read the radio in CPS and you should get an error that it is corrupt, it will ask you if you want to rewrite with factory. (This is as long as you have an EPROM error)

flashing it to a 750 or 1250 would not be so simple since the hardware is significantly different. The CPS software that you need is the CPS GM/GP series do a quick google search for it and you will find some information on it

Re: Qucik Call Decode question
You would do that through adding a signaling system, keep in mind you need to have the proper tone frequency and as far as I know you can only use 1 system per personality, you also have to keep in mind that you can only have 4 decoding systems per radio, if you want you can create a different perso...
