As with many others, I had a dim CRT on my R2001D.
I have read many articles about using a Sencore CR-70 to 'rejuvenate' the CRT, but I lacked the CR-70. And, after spending a couple hundred dollars for a used CR-70, I replaced all of the electrolytic capacitors, as I found a few to be bad. The ...

Motorola R2200A and R2001D calibration service
I have two Motorola service monitors, an R2001D and an R2200A that I have been working on, and I lack the standards to calibrate the units, so I was wondering if anyone offers calibration services at a reasonable cost?

R2001C RF output has a DC voltage?
I have been working on an R2001C with minor problems, and I have noticed that the output RF rides on a positive DC voltage of about 3 volts, and I suspect it is NOT normal, IF, I read the schematic right.

Hi All!
It was the coin battery.
The new battery took care of the crc error, and I reprogrammed my most used frequencies and tones.
I am also replacing the lead acid batteries, so it can be portable once again.
Thanks again!

IFR FM/AM 1200 memory problem
Hi All!
Recently, my 1200 has started to show a CRC error and it clears the stored info in the memory before starting.
My question is, is it the backup battery, or the memory? Any Ideas, anyone?
It sure was a pain loosing the stored setups, now, I have to do everything manually!

Hi Glenn,
Someone had epoxied the connectors, and not well either, so I am just going to make a new set of cables.
Another thing I could do, is put some foam rubber pads over the connectors, and let the bottom cover hold them in place.
