The tuning data and the codeplug is stored in the EEPROM and not in the FLASHROM. In the FLASHROM,only the firmware is stored but the firmware must match to the codeplug version! Read the tuning data and save it with the latest tuner.Write down the temperature compensation value. Update to the lates...

Replace the flashrom.This is the most common problem (rotten terminals inside the Atmel chip),when the radio will not turn on anymore.

Yes it´s possible! Create a native codeplug with the MT2100 RSS for your model.Dump it to disk and rename to default .ds Load it via MTSX-LAB(read/write with nopack/unpack and write to radio).
