You can load keys from a remote head. You must first provision the radio with the kvl 4000. You need cable HKN6183B first.

APX6000 secure keys

Hi,
My APX6000 radios with multikey secure displays the key name when receiving. I don't see any place where there's a setting to disable this. Under secure wide-multikey, all 3 display items are set to disable.
Thanks for any help

PMMN4065A Mic

I'm using this Mic on an APX6000. The audio sounds muffled on the other end. I've boosted the Mic gain to 6. The noise reduction is set to normal. The audio doesn't sound as clear compared to the internal mic. Is this a function of the waterproofing ? Anyone else experiencing the same?
Thanks

No multi key involved. Its like it takes a second for the DIU to decode.I'm leaning towrds it being a signal problem. It happens more on portable than mobile. When a mobile does do it, its usually on the edge of town. We're installing remote receivers soon, so we'll see. Thanks for your input

I'm not a guru either. Make sure FIPS is not enabled. This will erase keys if battery power is lost. Are you entering the correct location of the keys? The kvl stores hundereds of keys. When you turn it on, make sure the key location is there or entered.
