Heard on the news this morning: Walmart donated $23 Million. $15 Million from the corporation and an additional $8 Million coughed up by the Walton family. Jeff I was just about to post the same thing, now that's a donation. I really don't want this to degenerate into a Motorola bashing thread. The...

Well I still don't know what's wrong! RIB and cable are O.K. RIB battery O.K. It's like it doesn't see the radio. I'm using the same computer in DOS with the same software. Go figure.

I checked the rib and cable on a maxtrac and it's good. I'll recharge the battery and try it again. Thanks for the quick reply.

GTX programming error

I have a GTX 900 portable that I could read the codeplug from. Yesterday I tried to change some programming and get this:

Error 7 serial bus error. Busy line locked. Consult manual for list of error codes and possible solutions.

Anyone know the what to do here? I don't have a manual.

Nice install but you still have the antenna to draw attention to the vechicle.
My 2 cents worth.

Help with 2004 Tacoma

Want to install a dual bad Icom in the truck. Clearance between the roof of the truck and overhead door is only 12" so the 19" dual band antenna I have won't work there. I thought of a glass mount on the back window but they're 28" or so and would probably hit the garage door. Last re...

Gee I'm catching on. Can I use maxtrac lab to program a virgin GTX LTR 900? Or do I need a different flavour of software?
Also does anyone know what freq. these are set at when they leave the factory? Turning the knob on top still says 1A.

I've read quite a bit on the batlabs site. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Radio to be programmed is turned on and connected to rib which is connected to pc. Start up software in dos. All the info to be read or changed is in the code plug.
