Re: XTS 4000 speaker mic

hey, thanks for that feedback! However, i do not see anywhere on the xts4000 where you would use a screw to secure the bottom adapter in place? Randy Open up the accessory cover, and the screw goes on the upper part of the connector. Looking at the radio, the display facing you, the port is on the ...

Re: XTS 4000 speaker mic

I know this is a little old, but for reference: I had an XTS4000 and I used an ear piece with it. Motorola Tetra MTH600 MTH650 MTH850 MTH800 Series accessories fit the XTS and have the screw to secure it in place. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hand-Speaker-Microphone-Mic-PMMN4015A-For-Motorola-MTH600-MTH...

EX500 and Relm RPU3000A

I have a Relm RPU3000A pre-BK radio. It uses EX500 Series Accessories. I have the serial cable for the EX500 and the pin out looks like it works, has anyone tried it? On eBay they sell the cable but would rather save the $$. I am also looking for the part number for the correct software, there is di...

Re: Verifying Before Buying

Look for a radio with a "J" instead of the "K" in the 4th spot of the model number like these: T04JLH9PW9AN you can go lower on the 146-174 radio but P25 wont work as you start going lower. /\ I'm looking to upgrade my VHF Astro Spectra in my truck to a XTL5000 once I come across...

Re: Verifying Before Buying

An Astro Spectra "J" split is out there if you really want to use the ham bands. I run a "J" split on 144.xxxx P25 and works like a champ. They are harder to find but they are out there. "J" split covers 136-162mhz. Keep us posted with the install of your Quantar if you...

Re: Is there still a market for old Spectras & MaxTracs>

Maxtracs are still bringing in about $40-60 on ebay depending if complete with mic etc, and also depending condition. 32CH ones even better. Great for GMRS which seems to have become more popular in the last 2 years. The Spectras as well should bring in $40-60 also. Clean them up with water and a li...

Re: ASTRO Spectra W3 Control Cabeling

Someone had made a hack where you can plug the HHCH into the radio and on the 2nd port (middle of radio through the handle) you run ign power/jumper and speaker.

I had emailed they user but kept getting emails rejected.
