But once you do that, you'll loose the ability to use your regular car horn ring button to activate the Air Horn... So you have a choice. Air Horn on the Horn Ring, or Car Alarm. you can use a diode, and you can choose which one to use, either airhorn, or siren...... all of the newer siren controls...

Sort of a late reply (among all the other ones), but how did you hook up the Smart Siren to the security system? TAP-II functions... you'd normally have it hooked to the horn ring. instead of +12V from the horn ring, you get +12V from alarm output... I'm assuming of course.. but thats how I did min...

yup... there are addons that can be added into the radio, mostly by aftermarket manufacturers like cimmaron......

most ericsson radios have available an "emergency" lanyard, that, instead of a button, you pull a string.....

I"m talking about a chrome dome, VHF 1/4 wave,not the spring loaded antenna's...yeah..it might get that "swept back" look after a bit,but ...geez.... you'd be better off mounting a 1/4 wave on the lip of the hood.....if you're that concerned about height...

I'm thinking that lip mount....or can u say for sure it's right above you?? also keep in mind, that those "grommets" that they install for the lightbar wiring, are sometimes hard plastic, and not rubber, and are NOT sealed properly, creating a concave area... try dabbing some silicone wher...

just remember that multi-band antenna's are usually a compromise....

they usually get the highest gain at higher frequencies, and zero,sometimes "negative" gain, on the lower frequencies(VHF)

ummm..get an astro saber? lol there was something that I enabled on my saber 3 that limited the number of "Unique PL's" as motorola called it, I THOUGHT it was secure operation, but I cannot remember..... it MIGHT be something about the RSS ASSUMING it's 2K and not letting you put in more ...

I call BS.. if it was windows 98, or 95.. I'd say possibly.... but windows NT based products, IE NT,2k,XP use a TOTALLY different way of accessing the serial port.....which dos programs do not like at all....
