Re: AstroTac Receiver ATAC3000 interface Problem

It is probably related to the station [EPIC] firmware version. There is a relationship between which wireline versions work with what station versions.

The newer station firmware loads the wireline code at bootup but earlier cards won't accept it. This accounts for your observations.

I recommend that you pull each card from your machine and inspect for capacitor cancer.

The surface mount electrolytics are prone to leakage and there are a lot of them in there.

Dispatch clock? We have no clocks in dispatch. All the computers have time sync'd to a master netclock. Dispatchers use CAD time for everything. Here is a crucial question. Early 2975's have a two piece processor consisting of a carrier card that plugs into the 2975 motherboard and a piggyback computer with a jillion cross-connects. Later units have a one piece card. Several different hard drive sizes were apparently used. Will an image from...

Return Loss = 10 log(P1/P2) = 10 log(34/2.5)
RL = 23.6 dB which is close to an SWR of 1.5:1

At UHF a properly configured and operating antenna system will normally be better than that.

There wasn't enough space on the TOMI board for them to put receive audio circuitry.

For that reason, TOMI's are always paired with an AEI.

There is a 7-pair Y-cable used to get the audio from the AEI to the OP.
