Re: APX Firmware R16 Released 05 May 2017

Didn't have a problem with the standalone version, Installed and have updated an APX8000 that was having the -wrong battery- issue. Unfortunately it still has that issue with the impress2 batteries in our lot, so will be holding off any more.

Looks like the original Centracom I. I don't think you need a CEB. It would probably be a fair bit of work to get it going, but I have seen some manuals from time to time hit ebay. If you don't decide to keep it, let me know where it is, if its anywhere local I would be interested. These are the typ...

Sorry to bring back an old thread, But I just recently got a new cell phone and the preloaded rings are gay.. Anyone come across these vesta rings in wav or mp3? If not I guess I will have to try to pull rings in the background off old recordings.. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

What a bunch of worthless comments.. You dont have to be limited to 16 channels, you are not limited to the scan list... Scanning LA is nuts anyway, way too much traffic. Los Angeles and the cities around it are conventional and that shouldnt be a problem to monitor. Many people on this board listen...

Why do you bother responding if you dont have something informative to post? Some of the people here are still learning, I thought thats what this place was about. If you find the subject boring, skip over the thread or find something else to do. If someone wants to learn about something and spend t...

While it does say that, it also says

P25 Digital Mode:

* P25 Digital Conventional
* AMBE+2™ Vocoder

Not sure what the +2 stands for.

Thanks Alex, Guess I wont recase them all. Yes, I did purchase that one. I emailed the seller and asked him to check the part numbers. He came back letting me know he was in error at first and it was for the saber. If it is indeed for the W3 head, then I guess im out $22 until I find and break a W3 ...

I have never had automatic updates turned on. Anyone worth their salt downloads them individually anyway and should obviously skip WGA if they arent legit. WGA boo hoo... not even mildly annoying. And the corp keys being 'checked by location' haha yeah right. I spent an entire summer for a client in...

Astro Saber Display

Good morning (or evening if you read this later), I have recently purchased a few of the ASI on eBay like several others on here. I was interested in doing the conversion. Last night I noticed a astro saber display on eBay right before going to bed. Anyway got my display for $22. But it is missing t...

I have been writing a cad client and server for about a year now. I actually started in 2000 but stopped for several years. It just does the basic cad functions right now such as adding, modifying and dispatching incidents, keep a full activity log for both units and incidents. Added an address data...

Spectra-Tac Element Question.

Hello, I recently bought a spectra-tac receiver that I would like to use to learn a little more about them. From what I can gather on the boards here is that they use the Micor Elements. Can someone please tell me if that is correct and if so where I could get them. I am looking for 155.5500. Any in...

Hello, I have recently bought a MDT 9100-11. I had the original goal of a remote packet station. I honestly dont know much about these. Do they run some proprietary OS or is it a DOS? I dont plan to use the rf equip that it has since I wont be running it on 800mhz. Any information would be great. Th...
