Need Advice On A Possible VSELP Flashcode

This may sound like a simple question, but I'm wanting some expert advice.

Radio Flash Code for an Astro Saber III: 490108-584000-7

This should be a VSELP radio, correct? In other words, if it isn't CAI and isn't "ASTRO-Ready" it should be VSELP?

Thanks

Looking for any VSELP Codeplug - just want to see the differences between VSELP and APCO25 programming.

A blank, initial codeplug would be fine.

I am looking for a Motorola codeplug for either the Memphis or Cleveland VSELP system.

Would like to do some investigation with the Motorola RSS on how the VSELP systems are programmed.

I have several conventional personalities programmed in my ASTRO Saber with RX only. However, they show up with the talkaround/direct icon "|-->" on the radio display. The channels DO NOT transmit, so I'm wondering what might be programmed incorrectly.

All are same frequency and were copied using ...

Bad connection between radio and radio-rib cable. New one should be here tomorrow.

Guess it's time to order the service manual.

Looking at buying a nice 800Mhz Saber III from a friend of mine.

Here are the firmware numbers from the radio: R.03.00.00 and I.03.04.03.

Can a Saber or XTS3000 be capable of both the APCO25 CAI and VLSEP modulation types?

Reason I ask - the UHF conventional ASTRO Saber II I have allows both modulation types to be selected in RSS.

Most of my interest is in APCO25 CAI, although a local utility uses VSLEP.
