I have a 3/4 Ton Dodge, Ext Cab, 4x4, Cummins that I use for a service vehicle as well. However the Explorer is more convinient, expecially when you need to get the 2 year old in an out of a car seat in the back. Also, climbing up and down out of the back of the truck to get to the tool boxes got ol...

Installation/Service Vehicle
This may be way off topic, but here goes..... I am in search of the perfect set-up for my vehicle. Not the radios and installation, but the cargo area and equipment placement. As any installer/field service technician would, I carry a vast array of equipment. Hand tools, parts bins & storage, dr...

OT Motorola Centracom II - Home Shack Setup
I aquired a Centracom II, 2 position console complete with the back room CEB and Dictaphone 20 channel reel to reel recorder. It has 2 full positions with paging encoders and is capable of 8 radio channels at each position. The only thing that got discarded was the counter tops. It was removed in wo...

Dodge Charger Problems
The local SO contacted me this week about a couple of 06 Chargers they have coming in. One will be the police package and will be a marked car with the factory installed console and all police package options. The other is an unmarked car and IS NOT a police package. I began compiling a list of need...

If it is a TK-760 or TK-760H, you can only use KPG29D. KPG29D was never released in a windows version. It is DOS based only. If it is a TK-760G or TK-760HG, you can only use KPG56D. KPG56D is avaliable in windows and DOS version. KPG49D is only used for the 80 series (TK-280, TK-380, TK-780, TK-880)...

We have used several of the Vertex VXR1000's with excellent results. However all the ones we have in service are cross-band. The power output is programmable per channel and can be set for .5 watts, 1 watt, 2.5 watts or 5 watts. This is nice since you can program a different power output per channel...

My vote is for the Kenwood TK-2170. We recently oufitted one of our local EMS systems with this radio to replace their old Minitor II pagers, and it has been working great. the 2170 has many more paging options than the Vertex radios. It allows for more sets of tones, customized alert tones for diff...

Hi, I am in need of a VHF antenna or an antenna coupler. I am open to using either Comprod or Sti-Co. I am going to go with whichever is the better price. If anyone here sells them or has a connection, please email me direct. I need to purchase ASAP. Antenna Specialist also makes a coupler for VHF, ...

A4 Spectra, Zone capable????
Does anyone know if you can do "zones" in an A4 Spectra VHF? Can you assign it to the up/down arrow keys above the mode select knob? If not, what are these keys for???
Thanks in advance.
Wes
