I actually did that exact setup once and it did work, there is a little more delay between the 2 tones that you would normally have since they are being sent manually, but it did work.

It remains open and scans in NON-PRIORITY mode until reset button is pressed. Or I believe it can be configured for auto reset. But to answer your question, It does remain open and scans both channels.

jas, I think you are missing the deal here...... We are not talking about the musical alerts...... I am talking about replacing those musical alerts with actual music, other sounds, ect.... for example: on some cell phones, you can download actual songs and other sound files and set them as ringtone...

If it is a TK-760 or TK-760H, you can only use KPG29D. KPG29D was never released in a windows version. It is DOS based only. If it is a TK-760G or TK-760HG, you can only use KPG56D. KPG56D is avaliable in windows and DOS version. KPG49D is only used for the 80 series (TK-280, TK-380, TK-780, TK-880)...

Ditto to what tvsjr wrote.

I use Glass Plus or Windex in place of the 409. I have found it tends to leave less residue, although you still need to buff it off really good.

The Kenwood TK-272 will not encode a long tone. It will only encode an A-B 2-tone configuration. Also as far as I know there is no way to change the decode timing for a long tone group call on any of the Minitor pagers.
