Does anyone know of or have a chart/document that lists model series or type indicated by the serial number prefix? Like "205" is an XTL2500, "721" is an XTS5000, etc..... I have found this page but I am not sure it is 100% accurate. http://www.kwnet.net/n7qqu~/motorola-informati...

Jason,
I'm familiar with the VIP audio connection for dual heads. Are you saying that if i had the cable, second head, VIP audio connector, mic and speaker that it will all be plug and play by simply reprogramming the radio as a dual head?

Hi to all, I have a customer who has recently taken delivery of some used (new to them) Astro Spectra 800 MHz radios with the W9 control heads. Luckily in this application there is not a repeater housing so space is not an issue. The power supply is also sufficient for the CDM to operate.

Hello everyone, I am starting this thread to see what folks are using for the 2011 Ford F250/350/etc. When you need to fender mount an antenna. We all know the best results will be obtained when going through the roof but there are certain applications where we must use the fender. Due to a redesign...

After seeing what firmware is in the radio, I am not sure a firmware upgrade will do me any good on this problem unless what is in there now has a corrupt bit somewhere causing this exact problem. I think if it was corrupt it would be having other issues though.......

Jumpers for setting the stored voice time are located on the voice storage module which is a removable board located near the center of the decoder board kinda under the speaker, you have to remove the speaker to see it and I cant remember if you have to remove the RF board to get it out or not........

All of the Minitor V batteries I have seen do have the same date code format on them. However, they are hard to read due to the ink they used to stamp them. If you hole the battery at the right angle, in the right light, you will see the code stamped just above the label.

It is not possible to program it the way you have listed. The tones are not selectable per position. You could set it up to do 2 different tones, by programming F-1 and F-2 as the same frequency, but with the different tones. You could add the third set of tones to one of these positions, but while ...
