We are preparing for installation of the APX7500 with O9 head into the 2014 Ford PI Utility. We have ordered the PI Utility with the four buttons on the steering wheel that give grounded outputs at the equipment interface under the center console. My question- does anyone have experience with this t...

Re: Display of Secure Key Name

I do not have any aliases set up to match the incoming RIDs. The incoming RID displays (just the number) but only after the secure key name shows on the display. The secure key name it is displaying is what is entered in the multikey list in the secure wide settings.

Anyone know how to get an APX portable to stop displaying the secure key name on the display on receive? I would much rather see the RID display instead of the secure key name. Re: Scanning ASTRO25 systems in talkgroup scan

I have been trying to use the "scanning conventional voice frequencies" of the 9600 P25 site in question and cannot seem to get this unit to receive only a single talkgroup (it unmutes on all traffic). It is an XTL5k consolette (W7, 800mhz). I'm scanning the 4 voice frequencies- selective ...

My thought on the two antennas is to avoid the losses in a duplexer and to be able to run a preamp on the receive (mounted at the antenna) if the noise floor is low enough. My plan for now is to mount an antenna as high as I can on the tower and then measure the noise floor and possibly even go ahea...

Micors- I know they are old but they are workhorses!

I can get along ok using a simple multimeter, but the test set seems like it would follow the manual easier and be a snap to tune that way.
