Re: Motorola DLR1020 And DLR1060
Has anybody here had a chance to try these yet? I own a small fleet of DLR1060 radios and a MUC. They work excellent. They are compatible with the DTR 410/550/650 and the new DTR 600/700 series. Range and RF performance are identical to the DTR series. Audio output and battery life are also similar...

Motorola has been updating the main page on their site for the DTR series. I've been checking the page on a daily basis for the DTR700 and DTR600. The DTR700 and DTR600 weren't there a few hours ago and still showed the DTR 410/550 models. Now the page shows only the DTR 700/600 models. The old DTR5...

Anybody here remember the Kenwood TR-2600A 2m handheld back in the mid 80's? The 2600A offered an MDC-like feature and simply called it "digital coded squelch" (DCS). The DCS feature was designed for paging and selective calling and was designed to work through repeaters. You programmed in...

Re: Where I Recently Found a MDC Signal
Which radios can have 'F' in the MDC field? Most that I've tried won't allow it. I think I had a Systems Saber that would accept BEEF. I think the first digit can't be F and the highest first digit allowed is D. IIRC, DEEE was the highest value allowed. It should accept BEEF as an ID. DEAF should a...
