MDC 1200 Signalling options
What are the different options available for Motorola MDC 1200 signalling? I know it can be set up either when PTT is pressed or when PTT is released.... any benefits to a perticular way its set up?
Also how does the encode/ decode feature actually work? Would both need to be active to receive Id ...

Hi I have a UHF radio I plan on installing in my truck but dont want to run an antenna on the roof. I was wondering if it was possible to use a trunk mount antenna adapter and place it on the hood lip of the passanger side. Coax Cable to use for UHF GMRS band
Hi Im in the process of setting up a GMRS base station, but was wondering what type of coax cable to use for GMRS UHF band from radio to antenna ..... RG 59 or similar? The entire cable run should be no more then 50' .

Motorola MDC1200 signalling question....
Is the Motorola MDC1200 signalling compatable with Kenwood Fleet Sync ANI signalling? I know they are two completely different systems but would it be possible for the two to decode each other? Thanks

I have a Min III UHF pager in the 464mhz band. Question is if this pager can be programmed to a 462.xx frequency or is it out of band?

Can someone please explain the difference between the following Min III reset options??
A- Revert Squelch
B- Manual reset
I would like to have the pager activate, then go into monitor mode (F1) unil I manully hit the reset pager (similar to how the Minitor II's reset option work)

Hi I have a MIN III UHF pager that has a reset problem.
I currently hav it set up as follows:
Swich A - Alert tones, revent N reset
Swich B - Vive alert, open after page is received
Swich C - Monitor all traffic F1 open
Swich D - Vibe alert, no voice
Problem is when the pager activates and tones ...
