MCS2000 power up with no head

Wondering if anyone knows how to trick the radio out so you can run it with no head. I believe the VRM radios are MCS based. And I have read you can use the RCH3000 (the deskset console) in place of the normal head.

Here is a VHF Quantar set in mixed mode that works fine in analog all day long. But when we transmit in digital it starts to cycle as show until eventually it system reset. I would like to tie the outgoing PL tone to the COR on a Quantar.

Wondering if there is any way to inhibit the out going tone (PL/DPL) through external logic (mike a Maxtrac) ?

But I'm still having a world of headaches trying to make a bidirectional repeater between a UHF maxtrac and a 900 MHz GTX.....
