Re: XTS/XTL on 700 MHz P25 Trunking
If I had to take a stab at it, when they made your child key they used the APX configuration and not the XTS/XTL in the ASK software. When you make a child key with the APX not all of the permissions are granted to the X series, and I believe cloning is one of them. Have them make you a key using t...

Yes on the reband check box. Here is what I know so far... We sent a radio over to the neighbor and they were able to put the system in it. I can clone this template into the other radios as long as the feature sets match. For radios that do not, drag and drop breaks it. If I go into the personality...

If the flex is bad then it still wouldn't have read the radio at all. It seems likely that you do have a MT/MTS type radio but the "codeplug too old for this application" is a weird error. Usually if a radio is programmed with a newer version of RSS and you try to go backwards it would say...

Also, if the radio powers up and transmits/receives, then it is not "bricked". It could have a damaged connector on the control board or a damaged flex to the cover.

I think you're missing a step or two. The radio does not care how long the tones are as long as the A tone is 1 second and the B tone is more than 1 second. Since I don't know what step you may have missed I'll list them all. This is a way, not " THE " way. The method I am describing is fo...
