OK, so I'll start a new topic.....what was the first Motorola radio you ever had? Here's mine: First mobile: 80-D 2 channel Same thing, except I had mine powered off a bench power supply using one of the old enormous HP synthesizers with 120 buttons for TX and the VFO out of a Polorad panadaptor fo...

My Maxtrac decided it wasn't going to hear anything. So start at the antenna and work my way towards the speaker. I got the 45.1 MHz IF going into the "receiver subsystem IC" but I don't have any 44.465 MHz from the crystal Y52. Injecting 44.465 MHz with a signal generator and scope probe ...

So, how was your Field Day 2013? It snuck up on me, so I wasn't "out there" however, what I did was use it as an opportunity to see how the two antenna systems I put together worked on receiving. Much like NSA, I set the Superbrowser in HRD's DM780 to "Vacuum cleaner mode" and m...

A couple of pieces of plywood and some screws into the sides of the radio should do what you want.
You can mount microphone clips on the side and speakers on the other side.
