Re: How close is Motorola's r765IS to a real radio/
Hi MTS2000 DES, Whether iDEN or PCS ALL of them are still a radio because they are wireless. This fact has nothing to do with FCC Part XXXX legislation. Anything that falls under FCC Part XX is a radio. It has to do with TX'ing and RX'ing on a frequency or frequencies. All radios either transmit, re...

Hello all consumers, and end users, and those new to communications, The subject of this post is most comical to me (and I am sure others in the know) and displays the non-scientific/non-technical nature that this board has become and come to attract. MTR2000 Interfacing issue
Folks, Got a guy trying to interface to the MTR2000 UHF and on the 96 pin connector it would seem the mic audio pin is stripped of PL when audio is fed into it (brilliant). So I told him to go into the service microphone port on the front. No dice. Got PTT, RX audio, no TX audio. Bought a NEW PALM M...

P25 is a long dead mode. P54 is the DOJ/APCO's latest way of playing catch-up. Chances are if you have a GOOD radio repeater station, and then you add any controller you know works an dis GOOD to thousands of others, and it does not, it is usually the wiring or setup.
