I don't have specific info for the CDM1250 but normally the ACC options do not affect the mic input. The intent is to allow data or other applications requiring flat audio to be connected to ACC without affecting the mic audio.

If the system is just portables for in-store use MURS could be a good solution. VHF 2 Watt portables should provide adequate coverage and you will have 5 channels to choose from to avoid local interference. No license or coordination fees. You are not going to get a clear licensed channel nationwide...

I can't find the lamp info for that specific charger but similar chargers of that era for portables like the HT200 used an incandescent lamp as the current limiting device. Some lamp types used were 756, 1819 & 1829 with the desired charge rate apparently determining the lamp type used.

Most Motorola radios have the "DOS" feature that mutes the MDC1200 audio other than an initial brief chirp. This is a feature that has to be enabled in the radio programming or your hear the full "squawk". I an not aware of this feature being available on scanners.

IMHO you can't beat the Kenwood TK-6110 for a solid performing, 70W, Low Band radio. The 35-50 split is a plus compared to 36-42 or 42-50 for most other Low Band units.

I believe the MCR-100 uses channel elements and is not programable.

You can get the existing channel elements recrystalled but it is expensive. ICM is the best source I am aware of.

I don't beleive the FCC has changed any technical standards on ERP for narrow band. It would take at least 3db increase in power to make any perceptible change in the received signal quality.
