Does anybody want to share their experience with the XPR portables? How do they compare in TX, RX and audio compared to Motorola Analog portables? Does the XPR in analog mode perform the same to other Motorola analog radios in terms of TX, RX and audio? This is a first generation radio and just want...

Need part no for VHF enhanced portable antenna for MTS2000
Does anybody have this number?
Do these really perform better?
I am told the black rubber duck antenna is 8.5" tall instead of the normal 6" or so?
Thanks,
Ken

Yes, I was referring to the EX600XLS.
Thanks for the info.
Any idea how the performance is in comparision to the larger version, the HT1550XLS?

How is the tx and rx performance between the EX600 and the HT1550, does anyone know?
I am wanting to know if I should go EX or switch to Motobro.

Re: Is the PR860 really better than the HT750 series?
Again, I would CONTINUE to ask the same question: "Is the PR860 really better than the HT750 series?"
This is in terms of performance (tech specs) and quality of construction (durability).
Can someone directly answer this question?
Thanks,
Ken

First poster, thanks for the link for the previous discussion, I did review it. Second poster, I did not realize the PR860 was cheaper than the HT750. When I have looked at parts I thought the same accessories for the PR (that also fit the HT Series) were slightly more expensive, even though in many...

Although I don't see the same licensing requirements or restrictions for the firmware as I see for the software, I guess it would be a no no to ask for a current copy?

Firmware upgrade
Ok, I will look it up alot of times it does not appear to be a software program but I guess it is.
For the average user, will upgrading from a version 2 or 3 to the current 5 something really make a difference if you are not using LTR for example (just conventional)?
Thanks,
Ken

Any practical advice you can give?
Is it worth the money?
