I deleted them. I don't like keeping pictures up for too long. Uses up valuable Photobucket space. Photobucket is pretty liberal on how much you can store. It's somewhat silly to only have them up for one day as there are many people who do not live on this forum and would possibly liked to see them.

One issue would be actually finding enough frequency pairs that are not taken. In NC that's almost impossible because of the large amount of "paper" repeaters.

I have never heard of the HEAR channel. Here in CA we do not have any required 800 channels. The state is on VHF 155.340mhz is usually referred as the H.E.A.R. channel, sure someone here knows where that came from. Kenwood is making money off of where I work thanks to the expensive 900mhz offerings. The radio dude is pulling maxtracs back to the areas where they have trunked systems and ordering Kenwoods (for 20% of what the XTL would cost) to use in the conventional areas :lol:

Is there a particular reason they need to be e-mailed? I'm pretty sure having a time-stamped recording is possible with some of the hobby software out there and then you could just have it recorded to a computer near the RX radio. With all of this, you get what you pay for (or don't pay enough for) ...

Are the headlights coming on too? The sensor for my 2002 is on the dash at the base of the windshield. If I cover it up, the truck thinks it is night and turns on the headlights/taillights and dims the other lights.

Tomorrow I can check one of the 2007s at work to see where the sensor is.

If you can get new multiplier saber batteries cheaply, then those are good. Otherwise it's hard to beat the Impres battery prices from Escomm here on the forum. I would not use any other brand....

I had a battery that stopped charging in the impres charger( flashing error), but worked just fine in the old saber rapid charger. I only charge it in my presence to be sure it don't go up in smoke, but over a year later and it's still chugging right along.

Pure DOS always, I have a 366mhz PII that programs HT1000s just fine (same RSS as conventional visar). I would assume the newer the version of RSS you have helps as well. Get the RSS running, read it and see, can't hurt to try it.

Not to beat the answer to death but Grog is 100 percent correct. Itinerant channels require a license -- period. Whoever told you otherwise was wrong. AFAIK the ONLY non-licensed UHF channels are FRS. I should have provided further, but some of the rules about Itinerant channels seem to get confuse...
