DesXl keyloader question

Hi.

Got a couple of Des-xl loaders. 1 of them looses key easily when
on low batt. the other one holds keys fine on low batt.

Is there a backup battery? (if there is one, where is it, and wich
type is it?)

Thanks 8)

Hi.

hm, maybe. Theese problems occur with my 4 ss and also with
my friends ss, that originate from another place.

The "funny" thing about the sts and msg problem is that, between
the ss, it works perfectly. its only the console that shows msg1 all
the time (but not with other radios

A little update regarding the scan problem, The scan stops on every channel in the scanlist
and goes into unsquelched state for about 1 second, then scans to the next channel on
the list and again unsquelches and this goes on.. so the scan function is pretty much useless

Hmm, I will take the chance and see how much

Can the radio be upgraded to digital, later?
(Q241 Astro ready, does this mean its possible?)

Is it posible to do some sort of cloning with another

Thanks for the answar :)

Can something be done easily to get some more
options like MDC1200?

The seller claims that the codeplug allows MDC.
Can he be trusted on that?

I have the codeplug from the actual radio, can it be
determined if it has MDC, if someone could look at
