I have some Astro Spectra's I got from an auction. The model and serial numbers are as follows. M/N T04KLH9PW7AN, S/N 412AYE0219. I have figured out most of the model number except for the fifth digit which indicates the power level. I do not see an L in the matrix. Does anyone know what this L mean...

Syntor 9000 low band does the whole spread 30 to 50 MHz. Nice radio if you can find a 386 computer to program it with. I am trying to use a Pentium with the cache turned off but having trouble making it work.

I just came into the possession of two Astro Spectra radios mn# T04KLF9PW4AN. I believe they are uhf radios with rotary type control heads. I have cables but no heads. Which heads will work on these radios? Thank you.

Question of the day. I am having great difficulty finding a P25 VHF range two Quantar. I have however found several VHF Nucleus stations. Is there any thing that can be done with one of these ? Thank you in advance to anybody that can help.

I am trying to clone some XTL and XTS 1500 radios. I need to know how to program the appropriate ADP key into the new radios. When I clone the radio it will go into key fail and beep at me. The Motorola web site says some MSF 5000 are narrow 12.5. How can you tell. I have a good CXB station. I cannot find anything in the software to indicate this choice. Thanks in advance, Phil

I was able to proram the radio's input to 158.4375. I was also able to make it work on P-25. It does pass the ADP encryption. However I am only able to do one NAC and one DPL or PL. I think I need a newer control board to do multiple NAC's.

I understand the NACode. What I am saying is if you program your Quantar to do conventional as well as P-25, you loose the MPL function on conventional. I guess you cannot have MPL on conventionalif you are using P-25.

I spoke to the Motorola support, they say the Quantar will not do that frequency it's not a proper multiple. I was able to find a better frequency to use that fit. I also discovered that my station does P-25 as well as conventional. However when you use the P-25 part the multiple PL's for the conven...

I must be missing something. Software lets you change frequncy to narrow 12.5 khz. But radio won't go. It's a 96 vintage Quantar. 151.550 tx and 158.3925 rx. Any help would be welcomed.

Do all Quantars support narrow banding ? I am reprogramming an older VHF Quantar. When I try to change the recieve input from 160.140 to 158.9325 it says synthesizor out of lock. Did I spell that right ? Thanks for any help.

I just scored an MSF 5000 C24CXB, This is has a 6 watt PA. This was used as a reciever in a secure Astrotac voting system. I guess thats why it only had a 6 watt PA. Thanks I guess a $125 should be fine it's up pretty high 250' hill one of the highest spots on Cape Cod. And the water tank and supporting structure are at least another 100'. Good antenna as well. Now we just have to tune it up and away we go.

The duplexer had been retuned to 160.140 in and 151.500 out. It previously had 150.805 in and 154.340 out, so now the high side of the duplexer is low and the high side became low ! I switched the cables around on it and it performs as it is supposed to. Now all I have to do is tune the rxr. So does...

I was able to program the radio, however I had to disable all traces of the MCS function and put in a PL code. Now the radio will repeat as it should. I do believe that I will need to tune the TX and the RX as I have entered frequencies that are a few megs away from what was in the radio to start. I...

Thank you Stu . I do have a keyloader and I have a bunch of Saber secure radios. I also have a Quantar repeater but its about four grand to flash it to do P-25. Then I'll have to get P-25 radios as well.

Can I connect two Spectra radios to make a repeater with a RIK or a CR tone panel the same way you can with a couple of maxtracs or maratracs ? Any info would be appriciated, uh , apprechiated, uh would be great ! thanks.
