astro spectra plus bootloop, loop, and loop, and loop
Well, the subject is pretty much the issue. I've got an Astro Spectra Plus in bootloop. I remember putting it into service mode to see what algos the UCM had in it while I was in search of a KVL cable that would work. Now it just cycles with the busy and xmit light pulsing 4-5 times very quickly, sh...

Re: APX O2 O7 same CHIB?
I'm not sure, but I think so. you can have an 07 and an 02 connected to the same transceiver at the same time. only two heads that can do that in the whole fleet right now, so stands to reason they would be the same.

W3 or O3 HHCH and an XTL 2500
I have several 2500 trunk mounts. I'm looking into a project that would look much cleaner using HHCHs. Is there a wa y to convert 2500s over? I've heard just by word of mouth that it's not plossible, and that HHCHs are only supported om the 5000s and APX series. Bassicly I want to put them all into ...

anyone have them by chance? In true government fashion, I'm told at 4:45 on a Friday to send in a proposal Monday to spend some remaining FY funds. I can't get our rep on the phone, and don't see anything on MOL, so I thought I would turn to some folks who might have the access. Just looking for the...

as for option four, we thought of that, and the audio was bad!!! as for the repeater site, its on our property, access control by our team. I guess we'll have to bite the bullet and get a p25 repeater.

Anyone know if a P25 repeater will "passively" pass EAS encryption (or any other form for that matter)? Encryption is a new animal for us. We've been using it on simplex for a while and it has been working well. Our users can flip the knob and choose to talk clear or encrypted. We're looki...

Does anyone know if the NNTN7624B (APX7k) charger and the WPLN4208B (XTS5k) are the same exact size? I'm looking to put the APX charger in my vehicle, replacing the XTS charger in my Jotto console.
Also, any rumors about an XTVA style adapter for the APX line?

so not the typical application... Our agency dispatches for a helicopter service. This is a part time mission, the primary focus is a warning point for the state. Does it exist? We have it in our XTS-5000s... I used the latest conversion tool (came out 7.00 i think), the only part that troughs up invalid fields are my zones that contain DVRS personalities. We went with 800/V APX7000s thinking we could use the DVRS or go straight to the system depending on cov...

that makes sense. from time to time when i drive out to a more remote part of the state and turn the radio on, I get the out of range indicator verses leaving it on as i drive out of a known covered. any idea why the original code plug would not include all tower sites? is there a limit to how many ...

FWIW, We have a statewide VHF trunking system here in Virginia called STARS. Most all of the public safety entities use the system (State Police, Health, Game and Fish, DOT, etc). State Police (VSP) is by far the biggest user, with a fleet of Crown Vics and Impalas, with a few hemi Chargers in the m...

what would happen if say, 6 speaker phone ouputs were all wired to one speaker? again this speaker would be for output of speaker phones only, with the possiblilty of 2 or 3 lines "outputting" at the same time.
