Re: PDRC Screen Shuts off on Power-up
Still searching...it seems like a small, 12v UPS will do it. Anybody know where I can find one? Lind makes one that attaches to a lead acid gel battery, but a fully integrated unit would be way easier.

PDRC Screen Shuts off on Power-up
Stupid question. I have a Panasonic PDRC 12.1 in my work car and the damned screen shuts off 99% of the time when the car starts up. I have tried running a meter on the battery and on the power cable itself and get a variety of readings on startup, nothing consistent enough to say that voltage is dr...

2007 CVPI Horn Ring
We upfitted a new 2007 CVPI last month and ran in to an issue. The horn ring transfer wires were not under the driver's side dash where the Modifier's Guide said they would be, and they were not on the passenger side where the were in the 2006. Has anybody else run in to this? Has anybody found the ...

You would probably be looking at removing the instrument cluster bezel and the cluster itself to get to it. You basically need to remove the dash trim piece that the clock/trunk release (depending on car) is on, it should pop right off. Next, remove the screws that are holding the black plastic beze...

As I remember it was on the side where the control pad, bar, and aux lights plugged in, but I could be wrong. IIRC it was visible from the outside and the screw was white in color, but recessed slightly in to the case - you had to use a bladed screwdriver to get at it. It was also fairly clearly mar...

Honestly probably one of the better installs I have seen, just because they were able to cram everything on a bike like that...even the radar.

So now all somebody's gotta do is call Federal and see if it can be ordered by non-LAPD.K6UK wrote:Looking at Federal Signal's documentation online I found this:

I didn't have time to read all of the other replies, but I have found that the el-cheapo power cords from Radio Shack and other places frequently have polarity reversed from /\/\'s plugs. I have gotten smoky results from a couple of radios that I have tried using them on, but never burned one up. Go...

I've had two different pro-coppers in my vehicles and have used two different ones at work and have never had problems with armrests (regular or flashlight mount).
I have seen them wobble when the stuff inside was taller than the bin or the part of the console that sticks inside, but that's about it.

There are several spectra codeplugs here, but they are by S/N mostly. It might be worth downloading them all and trying them.

They have a couple of CDM1550 code plugs, don't know if they'll meet your requirements though.
