XTL2500 RX_FILT_AUDIO pin behavior

From the manuals I've been able to find online, it appears that pin 21 of the accessory connector provides a fixed level audio output. I'm trying to reverse-engineer a rats-nest fire station speaker system, and it appears that one of the radios may have an external audio amplifier wired to this pin....

Thanks. You weren't kidding, that was pretty simple. Getting 4V to the contacts during power up, and 4V to the motor gets no motion, so I guess it's time for a new motor.

Minitor V Vibrate Not Working - Self Repair?

Have a Minitor V that the vibrate function stopped working on. Doesn't vibrate at all, even when you turn it on set on vibrate channel. Wondering if this is a common problem with a commonly known fix. Either way, is there a way to disassemble an M5 without busting up the case like on the M3/M4? Have...

Re: P1225 2.5 kHz PLL?

I could be wrong but I think the PLL steps are a fine tune for the receiver, don't think that has an effect on the transmitter but this one seems clear as mud. Perhaps someone else can clear this one up. PLL steps are for both the transmitter and receiver. The PLL step (or channel step) dictates wh...

I think you are confusing things on this issue. There is NO 2.5khz channel step on vhf hi band. There is a 2.5khz deviation max for the new narrow band step which is 7.5khz for some portions of the vhf hi band and for uhf the new narrow band is 6.25khz. Working on a grant and I'm trying to determine what various VHF radios are capable of. I know the VHF P1225 is narrowband capable, but does it have a 2.5 kHz channel step size (i.e. can be be programmed on all VHF splinter channels or just some of them)?

My V325i has an external antenna jack under the battery cover. It's a tiny connector (MCX??), and obviously you have to remove the battery cover to use it. This Alltel Coverage Map shows pretty decent coverage in that area. Add a high gain antenna and chances are good that you'll have coverage when you need it. The CDM...
