Unless you have some sort of test jig from motorola that I do not know of the only way that I know of to test them is in the radio they were designed for. 1. Do you have the codeplug password protected? If so enter the proper password.
2. You may have to setup the personality for this channel for narrow band.

Even if you could do so - why would you need to do that?

Just remember to remove the oem console mounting base plate after removing the oem console

Sounds like you may have a high level of noise on any memory channel.
Have you checked your home for noise sources ?
Try again away from your home like out in the middle of a parking lot
where there could be no noise source.
