I moved the antenna outside and that fixed my problem. Nand thank you so much for your advice. Before I thought I would have to buy another repeater. RF obviously does alot of strange things. Maybe motorola should had shielded the r1225 better. HA!

Sorry about the caps. I do not have a dummy load but I disconnected the antenna and keyed the repeater (i know this is bad) from a portable and it worked great. Connected the antenna again and it lost power to the I20R upon PTT.

The antenna is indoors with a duplexer.

I HAVE A GR1225 WITH A 120R CONTROLLER. WHEN USING THE I20R WITH NO CONTROLLER IT WORKS GREAT AS A REPEATER. WHEN THE I20R TELL THE GR1225 TO TRANSMIT THE I20R LOOSES POWER THEN AFTER THE TRANSMIT REQUEST STOPS THE I20R POWERS BACK UP. I HAVE THE FACTORY I20R CABLE TO GR1225. THE RSS IS CORRECT ...

Thank you for your responce. It uses a Y cable (2 16 pins go into the I20R then obviously 1 goes to the GR1225. The model for the cable is HKN9234. Does anyone know how to make this cable? The list price for it is $73.00 and I am not rich.
