On the MTR3000 they snap out. The MTR2000 the thing is soldered onto the board. It is a complete POS and does not want to give up wires without breaking them. That is probably why they changed it. The one that came from Motorola had pin numbers preprinted on the right side and this is pretty important because they do not go in order top to bottom, they jump around a lot. I'd spend the money to save my time trying to keep track and getting it wrong....

Bill, the Ritron Teleswitch looks like it is intended to be controlled by a hand held unit. Is there some option for both ends automated?

The controlling end is what I need to be waterproof. The controlled end is inside a climate controlled room.

Am I misunderstanding here?

I am not a fan of the insulated crimps for anything larger than #12. I only use high quality tools and I have still seen them heat up or start to heat up too much for my taste when loaded near capacity. The longer barrel uninsulated is all I use.
