Can read 2500 with 05 head but cannot program soft buttons
I have a radio I can read and modify everything except the soft buttons on the 05 head. The "drop downs" will not drop down and the buttons are greyed out. Using current software and the radio is functioning. Just needed to change a frequency pair and modify the soft buttons. Thanks greatl...

Analog Quantar to P25, what is required
I have a customer with a Quantar analog repeater who upgraded to an EF Johnson P25 system. He wants to upgrade the quantar to P25.
How is this done and what would be needed?
Thanks much for the help

Re: Can't access Programming for PM400 in RICK Configuration
Thanks for the reply. I am trying to program the radios from the Mic Jacks and that is where I get my error. I have the standard RIB and the Modular cable which plugs between the RIB and the radio. We have never tried to program one from the back. I wonder if the previous dealer somehow disabled the...

Re: Can't access Programming for PM400 in RICK Configuration
I have the programming cable and the flash adapter and the rib to program the individual radios through their respective mic jacks.
Is this what you were referring to, or a cable that plugs into the RICK.
Thanks so much
Jeff

Can't access Programming for PM400 in RICK Configuration
Hello, I am having to come behind someone else and reconfigure a pair of PM400 VHF radios that are configured as a voter link with a HLN3333B R*I*C*K. I cannot read or program either radio and when I unplug the transmit radio it powers off (IGN sense?) Can anyone please tell me how to read the trans...

programmed cdm1550 shows unprogrammed
Hello and thanks for the help. I have not seen this one before. i was sent to reprogram a customer's cdm1550-ls which was supposedly unprogramed. They did not by the radio from us, it came with the outfitted cop car, which is ok by me. Anyway the radio flashes HCSO, the label on the first channel, a...

MTR2000 puts beep on transmit audio
Probably a simple question but I can't find the answer in the book. A customer's hi-Band MTR2000 has suddenly put a beep in every transmission. What does this signify and how can I get rid of it?
Thanks in advance

MTR2000's drop PL intermittently then lock to CSQ
We have two different public service agencies with hi-band MTR2000 repeaters. One has started to intermittently switch to csq, thus causing users to have problems with skip interference. The only way to restore pl is to cycle power on the unit and then it will work fine for several days that then fa...

Thanks to all for your help, the problem turned out to be a setting that somehow changed in the programming. The repeater was not set to full duplex mode and thus shut off the local receiver when the repeater keyed. We're at a loss why the setting changed, but happy that it was corrected Thanks Jeff

Dan Thanks for the reply. We are going down and check out both items you suggest and as the site is bout 40 miles away it takes a while to get there. I am going to try and read the parameters out of the 5K and save them. We are kind of coming into this project with no previous experience with this u...

MSF 5000 and replacing Spectra-TAC voter with Doug Hall
I have a problem, thanks for listening. We have an MSF 5000 repeater that was working with a Spectra-TAC voter system which went bad. We are interfacing a Doug Hall voter system with the MSF 5000 and have reached a stopping point. The new voter has been modified with a tone control board so that it ...
