Installed 16 with no rm worked fine for a few weeks now it won't go past the boot up screen. uninstalled it and reinstalled still doing the same thing. Anyone else having this problem? windows 7 PRo

From what I read it sounds like county dispatch sends a dtmf string to open up the informer which keys the uhf radio then they send the quick call tones and message. The informer then resets after a pre determined time and unkeys the uhf radio. If this is correct a CDM repeater would be the easiest ...

I been noticing some of the same problems with my cf-29. I notice if my battery isn't fully charged it starts to act up. When I plugged the power plug in it went away.

Started a service ticket with Mother M. Emailed them my codeplug they are trying to figure it out. We had a second unit which did the exact same thing. Sounds like a new a firmware release will be coming out shortly.

Does not transmit works fine with channels that are in the simplex mode but if the rx and tx are different will not transmit.

I just installed a vhf mtr-3000 15 channel conventional analog base. All the channels that are simplex rx and tx fine. I can change the channels with no problem. When I try and tx on a channel setup to talk through a repeater I get no transmit only receive. Has anyone experienced this before.

That was my second guess. If it benches up and tunes fine I have no problem using it. I rather use that then some crappy ht1250. My radios out perform most of the radios on the fire ground anyways.

Illinois Mabas has adopted 1500.0hz as our evacuation tone for fire ground operations. I programmed our mobile cdm radios for one button press to get to the tone then hit the ptt. I carry the xts and also use the evacuation tone function it comes in very handy.

Are the Pre-amps the same in the Astro spectra as the regular spectra? I have a 50watt mobile with handheld control head that really would love to have a hotter receiver in it. My kenwood tk-7180 blows it out of the water.

Click on radio configuration then drop down too Display & menu click on advanced tab then click on emergency receive. Then click on your MDC system that is assigned to the channel your using. Click advanced and check box that says Emergency alarm receive indicator. That should do it.

yes antenna system is fine i had the radio on the service monitor and had to crank it up to open the squelch i forgot the uv setting it was opening at havent had a chance to re check it.

The issue with the wiring isn't going through the boot - it's the path from the underhood area into the door jamb area. It will eventually rub on something and you'll have a problem.
