Re: XTS3000 UHF Checking DES

I enabled secure hardware in CPS. Turned on the radio and got a "KEY FAILED" message, but when I went into service mode, I saw DES XL and DES OTB (??).
So I assume the board is installed. I'm never going to use it, But If I were to ever sell it, I could be accurate in my description.

Thanks again ...

MTX838 Channel Selector Problem

I am not sure if this is a programing error or something's fubar.

I have an MTX-838 B3 W/ No display (H01RDC9DB3AN)
I loaded in a B4 Codeplug (H01RDD9DB4AN) so I can use MDC (which works) and make it 48ch.

I created 48 Personalities and created 3 zones with 16 Personalities in each zone(For the ...

Wanted: MTX-838 UHF Codeplug (or help)

I screwed up.

I'm looking for a MTX-838 UHF (Low 403mhz bandsplit) Codeplug that could load in LAB

I backed the radio up in the RSS and it won't load into LAB (Get the "OLD CODEPLUG") Error. I forced an MTS2000 codeplug in and it had the wrong bandsplit. So now I'm stuck

MTS2000 Programing ??

I have been looking at getting a jedi series radio.

The MTS2000 Caught my eye but after doing research I am just a little stumped.

Do you need a smartRIB to program the options in the radios (Like buttons and freqs) or can you do with the regular rib?

Best advice I'd say, is to get it back to hi-split, align it for the low end of that split and shift-key the freqs in, before something smokes.....

That is the current status of my radio right now with exception for the Low-End Alignment. So If I adjust the VCO like stated ealier It could be ...

Thanks for the info.

I did try the Shift method.
For some reason my power meter would jump over 60W
and I couldn't key the repeater (I Could access it on my HT w/ 5watts)

So I might have to adjust the VFO then?

I was going into the auction thinking I was getting

32ch, 146mhz-174mhz (rf board)

But what I got is
16ch 144mhz-162mhz (rf board)

I did hack it for 32 channels. But according to the RF board I got 144mhz-162mhz which I want because I am using it for HAM radio.

But I noticed in the RSS soft ...

I got a ton of questions (don't mind me asking)

Where is the Computer located?

I've built a computer with an mini-itx board and I have a 7" Audiobahn TFT screen. I have it under my rear seat using a 12v PSU

Is the bezel around the screen made of wood also?

And could you guesstimate how much this ...

I was going to make mine out of metal. But I guess wood can work too.

Is that a roll-on bedliner to make the textured surface?

But I heard those kits are expensive.

Soon as I get my radio in I will see if it could make my own.
I am a metal fabricator so If I have to make a back for it. I will

Has anyone ever made a kit on their own?

2- PB2
3- Hook

Using a CB Mic instead of HMN1056D

Got ahold of a maxtrac radio that did not come with no mic. So after looking around the house I found a CB mic back from my days on CB.

After some research I found that the mic uses 4 wires

Sheild - Audio Shield
Yellow - Audio Lead
Black - TX Ctrl
White - RX Ctrl

I was wondering if it's possible ...
