What @jmr061 said. It's very hard to turn used equipment for a profit. People want latest greatest and they want everything for free.

I'll 3rd that comment. We see that a lot here when the batteries have gone south. Check the date code on your battery. If it's several years old I'd wager that is the problem.

Re: Monitor Trbo
It is possible that the radio is password protected so that you can not read it or whoever programmed it may have left it unlocked. Again, with brute force you have to find the correct color code and the correct group id so I'd say your chances are slim at best. On a side note I'd say if anybody has...

I believe you have to know the repeaters color code, plus the group ID number of whatever it is you want to listen to. In short, I don't think so.

Re: What is it with people?
I say to each their own. You have to do what works right for you, and your vehicle. While I agree drilling holes is better I personally get very sick of seeing, "Nice install, next time drill holes", or "Man up and get the drill out" when people are showing off their ride. If peo...

Re: /\/\otoTRBO question not answered in sticky above.
I can't speak for certain but I would bet that they do it in digital. As I understand it since they use TDMA, they use one channel for voice and the second for data, including signaling, text messaging, and the GPS. But I'm just a layman so take my post with a grain of salt.

Re: MotoTRBO
We tested them out for two weeks. I think personally they preformed better then our ht1250's. In analog they sound much clearer. In digital mode they sound a bit "warbly" but still work decently. I'd say range is comparable to the ht1250's, we didn't notice much difference in simplex. Over...

Our dealer just got their demos in, and we were first on their list to try them out. I have to say I am pretty impressed. I got to play with them at the dealer roadshow in october. How was the sound quality? Impressed, not impres...

Problem with a CDM 750
Hey all, came in to work this morning and there is something wrong with the CDM 750 in our patrol truck. It had 4 channels programed into it, and now for some reason it is stuck on the first channel. Anybody have an idea of what might be wrong, or is there an easy way to reset it? Thanks!

Holy Cow Batman!
The holidays are coming up, and to get ready for it my employer ordered a few rental radios. To my horror and superise instead of being ht1250's like we currently use, they were CP450 LS radios. Anyone know anything about these?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Usermm, I guess my big question would be, what does your facility do? I work security and we use the ht1250's for officers, and the bpr40's for staff coordinating special events. The BPR's are a decent little radio for the price. While they are pretty solid, they are not nearly as rough an tumble as...

Ok, I have a wacky request. Does somebody have a nice picture, of their MCS 2000 with the display lit up? We're thinking of adding one to our dispatch center, basically just to decode MDC and my boss wants to see the face, to see how big the display is and "... if it looks tacky." Thanks i...

Motorola fleet management software?
Hey, all. This may be a silly question but here goes. We're looking to add radio id tracking to our dispatch center. We have a Zetron console which, is too old and doesn't support mdc features. Replacing the console isn't really an option for us. So, I was wondering if Motorola makes something like ...
