No, I never solved this. The customer choose to move on and are now looking at Kenwood's products as they are working exactly as they requested.

XTS/XTL 5000's nor XPR radios unmuting with QC-II Tones
I have a problem with QC-II decoding on VHF Motorola radios, and I do not know what I am doing wrong. This is an issue on my XTL-5000’s, XPR 6550, XPR 4550, and XTS5000s.

Wavetar,
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I have another computer on the network, so to save the image somewhere other than the laptop's hard drive is not an issue.

VHF / UHF / Low Band Combiner
Hey guys, I am looking to take a Yaesu 857-D and make it so the two antenna ports (VHF/UHF and Lowband) share 1 antenna. I cannot find a product that will allow this, however I could have sworn someone here has done this before.

Minitor 2 Ear Phone Jack Output
What is the output rating for the minitor 2 ear phone jack (watts / ohms) ? Is it different for the MIII,IV, or V?
In theory, could it feed 2 speakers, up to 20 feet away, without an amplifier?
Thank you in advance,
Steve.

I have run into this problem with some of the installs I have fixed for people. Check your grounding on the strobe power supply, and how they ran the power for the supply and the radio. I would go with the TK-x80 series from Kenwood. They are pretty durable and will do most of the functions the Motorolas will. The really good thing about the kenwoods are they are unlimited scan. You can scan as many or as few channels that you want, as opposed to Motorola you have a max amount of ...
