A birdy has told me this is happening and /\/\ is making the sales push. No word on whether the modes will work side by side or require a reboot. I cannot fathom a required reboot is gonna happen, but I could not fathom a lot of the BS of the last 5 years happening either

Have a few customers using them, they're pleased. Range is fine. One is a mine that puts the mic on the dash of a car and they climb 15 feet down a hole, where their portables won't work, but they get into the mobile via bluetooth fine. It does provide RX audio

Did you just program them with 15.5 Trbo CPS? There's a known bug in the latest version that causes super loud volume. Read the radio, open general settings, and then go to minimum volume. I suppose you could technically consider the APX8000 to be "dual band" but it's more of a full spectrum radio. Speaking of which, Harris still has their XG-100P/M series which is also full spectrum. EFwood has the VP900 which is a true dual band radio, similar to the APX7000. Okay but cer...

Seems only Puxing/Wouxon/Baofeng/Chingchong have dual band radios readily available. ICOM got out of the game and decided selling 2 radios was better than 1? What's good out there nowadays?

Incidently that is only about 80Hz away from right on frequency and it usually does not get much better.. Your decimal point is off, it's 800Hz. And even at 800hz, Memo's radio should still be working. He needs to explain the problem he's having that he thinks is related to being slightly off freq....

Specs on UHF radios is 1ppm so at 432 MHz the spec would be +-432Hz

FWIW they make a call box kit with the XPR7550/XPR7550e chassis with an SMA jack as we're all used to... if one is enterprising you can order the jacks and replace them on the PCB, problem solved :lol:

Manual says something like 200KHz of bandwidth at 1.5MHz separation and 600KHz of bandwidth at 2.5MHz separation. Has anyone used them on a 600KHz split and how was the insertion loss and other performance?
