Try using Batteryzone! They make an Awesome 3000 mAh Battery for the Saber/Astro saber. It has a good snug fit. None of that W&W loose fit garbage.
The battery last well over 10hrs.

I have 2 NTN4734B Chargers, Yes, They charge Ni-MH Batteries with out any problems. I use 4 3000 mAh batteries from Batteryzone and they work great, still going strong a year
and a half later. The A version Saber chargers are well known battery burners, avoid using them!

I hoped you used a soft cloth to remove your finger prints from the parts and the frame? The acids on your fingers will corrode on the frame and shields and will look horrible

Another good fix is bend the battery contacts with a small flat head screw driver so that they make a stronger contact with the battery. Also tighten the spanner nuts on the battery plate until they are snug.

If You are using a W&W GARBAGE battery! Replace it with a new Motorola battery ASAP! The W&W Garbage batteries have a bad habit of causing the same problem with many other radios as well.

Just do what you have to do and have fun. Stop posting it here on the board! The Radio NAZIZ'S are having a hissy fit! Your not going to get in any trouble because no one will hear you, Your transmissions are simplex and encrypted. Use a frequency in the 450 to 455 range.

TonyG, You can use your radios on murs frequencies, They don't require a radio license. Make sure you use a pl or dpl so you don't hear outside traffic and use about 4 watts of power. 151.6250 151.9550 154.5700 154.6000 You won't bother anyone because its all simplex. No AGC
Fixed Gain level of 3 for Analog, Digital, and Secure. For both Radio and Mic.
